Abbey Mausoleum Construction
Beginning Monday, June 15, 2020
To all of our valued clients and families, please be aware of the following information:
Beginning Monday, June 15, 2020, Restland will begin a major construction on Abbey Mausoleum. Due to the tornado that placed a direct hit on Restland on October 20, 2019, Restland will begin the initial stage of replacing the entire roof on the Abbey Mausoleum. We are eager to clarify that not a single crypt within the building was compromised nor incurred any damages. However, the roof received enough damage that the entire roof needs to be replaced.
During the replacement of the roof, families will continue to be allowed to visit the resting place of their loved ones as it will be safe for individuals to be inside the building. We ask for your patience as there may be noise associated with the construction. We expect this process to take up to 8 weeks, but we will work diligently to complete this as soon as possible.
The second phase of repairs will involve a major renovation and interior upgrade of the entire building. During this particular phase of construction, the building will not be accessible for visitors. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience as we keep the safety of our visitors a top priority.
We are excited to be able to perform the upgrades and renovations to this beautiful landmark building that serves as a final resting place for many. It is hard to provide an exact time frame from start to completion of the interior renovations; however, we will work diligently on interior renovations to complete the project as soon as possible.
Thank you for the patience and understanding while we improve your beautiful Abbey Mausoleum.
