A man with a Legacy, RIP Coach Robertson! My 4 years of Cross Country and Track made my high school years so meaningful! A coach who believed in us and pushed us to the next level. I remember his board on the door of his track office listed our workout for the day, many time's it said "On the Road Again" Willie Nelson…that meant we were going for a long run! He took our 1983 and 1984 Cross Country Team to the State Meet and always encouraged us to not only be good on the field but in life. He expected a lot of his athletes and students and it made us better people! I am thankful for being a part of his life! You can see his legacy at the stadium, at Track and Cross Country meets that he has left behind but most importantly his family as they are his true legacy. What a beautiful family he created, he was so very proud of his kids and grandkids. I saw Coach and Marie about 4 years ago at DQ near the stadium and we had a good little chat, picking up where we left off last. We shared a few memories, laughs, and of course he spoke of his family with twinkle in his eye. My thoughts and prayers are with you Marie, Stephanie and all of the Robertson clan. I was heartbroken to hear the news of Coach Robertson's passing. He was such a great role model. I had him all 4 years in high school for Track, Psychology, and Economics. He taught me so much more than just those things. I saw him about 15 years after high school at a middle school football game, and he came up to me and asked how I was doing and said my name. I thought, how amazing is this man to remember me after all these years and to still know my name. He asked me if I still ran, and I told him no, but that I did love running all those years ago, thanks to him. He will be missed. RIP Coach.
