Bettye Ann Morgan was born on July 17, 1938 to the parentage of the late Wallace and Essia Vell Morgan in Dallas, Texas. She was the first of three children to be born to this union. She graduated from Booker T. Washington Technic Read Obituary

Ms. Morgan was my Music Teacher during the late 1960's at Lincoln Elementary School in Corsicana, Texas. She was a gracious woman who introduced our class to one of God's gifts, music. She had a melodious voice and played the piano beautifully. She knew her craft and she encouraged us to enjoy singing/playing an instrument. She was passionate soul and had a lovely spirit.
