The memories I carry in my heart of Bill (George :) ) are an important part of who I am. He and Jan were my youth group directors in Richardson when I was a teen, and they helped me become involved in the most awesome things. I think of them often and remember with fondness our many adventures together. We all spent hours at their house, babysat Paul and Linda, listened to Bill’s jokes, answered his phone, had my first fondue, watched Star Trek and Mission Impossible, saw Frankie Avalon, spent a weekend at Galveston and later Corpus after the hurricane. He passed his love and humor on to my husband and children as well. We stayed once at the lake with him and Mary and both Adam and Erin came to love him. He took Steve and me to Cowboys games and we sat with him in the press box for a Colts game one Monday night. I could go on and on. I talked to him infrequently, but always knew he was there if I wanted to chat, which we did. He was one person I wanted to reach out to when my dear sister passed in January, and I am so glad I did. I didn’t always agree with him politically, but we respected each other, so that was never a problem in our friendship. I was greatly saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He will always be with me and part of me. My best wishes to Mary and family, to Paul and Linda and all the wonderful littler ones. I wish I could be there with you today, but I will be thinking of you with my heart and my tears. I love you Bill. See you later!
