Ken was a Great and Honorable Man. Thanks to him and Mesquite National Bank, as he was the President of the Bank, in 1983 he loaned me money to begin my Bookkeeping, Tax, and Investment Business. I will forever be Grateful to him. Vicki, my wife, grew up across the street from Ken & Margaret and I consider him to be a good Friend for all these years. We went to Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church together all the years. He set an example as a Husband, Dad, Friend and Businessman. The five or six Families on Candleberry were Great Neighbors and Friends for many many Years. Ken will be missed but we all know he is with Margaret and in a better place. Mike Slaton

In 1973 I was a 19 year old, full time college student who needed transportation. I knew Mr Pace from church and as the father of my friends Carole and Cindi so I called him (Pres of the bank!) to see if he would loan me money to buy a used car. He said he would love to do business with me and to come in and talk. At close he asked me how I intended to make the payments given my delicate financial situation as a student. I had thought this through to the dime and even had a back-up plan. I told him I’d never even been late with my homework and he said he would loan me whatever I needed. When we were walking out, HE thanked ME for doing my banking business with HIM! He was a good man; the world is poorer for his loss.

Bob and I have many fond memories of time spent with Ken and Margaret during the years when Ken and Bob were on the Dallas College Board together.

Sincere condolences on Ken's passing. I first met him in the chamber of commerce field and found him to be a dedicated, hardworking man who became a good friend through the years. His Community Service will be missed. May God Bless Ken and the Family.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the family. Our time together was short, however I will always remember your dad as believer in the Lord and Savior our redeemer. He got his wish to be with the Lord.
