Catherine Naomi Norton

January 19, 1935 - January 14, 2022

Catherine Blaize Norton went home peacefully to the Lord on January 14, 2022. She was born on January 19, 1935, in Dallas, Texas, to Louis J. and Naomi D. Blaize. Catherine is preceded in death by Elbert L. Norton, Jr., her high school sweetheart, and loving husband of 60 years. She is survived by cherished children, Grace Bryant and husband Jerry; Andrew L. Norton and wife Dana; Rosemary Fangary and husband Nader; adored grandchildren: Kevin and Amy Campagna; Naomi and Anna Norton; John, Dan, and Mary Fangary. Catherine graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School (1952), Senior Editor of the Wildcat; SMU (1957), B.A. in Elementary Education, and History, pledging the Chi Omega sorority; TWU (1980), M.S. in Early Childhood Development. Catherine was active in her church choir and children ministries at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Campfire Girls, and Westlake Republican Women’s club. She taught school at Ridgewood Park Methodist Church Kindergarten and Springridge Elementary School. Later in life, she was a successful sales manager for World Book Encyclopedia. Catherine’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2525 N. Buckner Blvd, Dallas, Tx 75228, Dr. Paul Brown officiating.
