Diane was a graduate of Sunset High School and attended Baylor University Nursing School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmersville. Diane is survived by her son Steve Carrington, daughter-in-law Sara, daughter Angela Carrington, son-in-law Dennis Burke, grandsons Jason and Hunter Carrington, great granddaughters Hope and Grace Carrington, brother Roland Haedge. Several nephews and nieces: Philip, Alan, Daniel, Hayden, Michael, Roan Haedge, Melanie Morgan, Vickie Gipson, Sadie Gipson, George Gipson and Bobbie Holt. Her extended family including stepchildren John & Kay Nerwich and Kay Nerwich Washington, and brother-in-law Mack Morgan. It seems like it is a rarity for folks to express their gratitude for others. My Mother made sure I always knew how much she loved me. I know she loved me because she took the time to tell me. I feel very lucky to have been her daughter and I want to express my gratitude to her for everything she did for me. I am grateful for the things she taught me! Mother was authentic to her beliefs. Her outlook on life was inspiring and filled with unending movement! Physical movement, even the last few years bed-ridden, she moved her right leg endlessly and enjoyed having her lipstick applied and hair fixed up. Each day she embraced with optimism. I believe her optimism was founded in Christ’s love and assurance that Heaven awaits with wonders we can’t conceive of yet. Mother is a native of Dallas who enjoyed making everyone who visits the city feel welcomed. You could catch her listening to music at the Arboretum, sailing on White Rock Lake, or shopping for the best deals in town. Mother would tell you if you want to live the good life, Dallas is the place! Mother taught elementary school in Guam, helped my Father start his dental practice with working the front desk and assisting, and the whole time raising my brothers, Steve and David, and me. At 51 years of age, mother found the world of Real Estate. She not only got her realtor license but achieved her Broker license as well. Mother built a solid foundation for 34 years for clients through her tenant advisory services and property management services later in life. Both my parents shared their love for the bible and biblical principles supported the spread of God’s work with many organizations like Basic Life Principles, Child Evangelism, Beechpoint Camp, First Baptist Church of Dallas, Wycliffe, and Hope for the Heart. Mother was born in February. Her favorite shape was a heart. Outside of her family love for her brother and sister, parents, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, mother had three big romantic loves! First was my father, Paul Carrington sang his way into her heart, then Ted Payne a safety engineer thrilled her with roller coasters, and the final love of her life was Joe Nerwich who literally swept her off her feet in a plane! If you are not happy change. God wants you to be filled with Joy. Mother lived this. http://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/68145/hash:7DD976C227BF7F0D
