Ellen Brown Stennett

Ellen Brown Stennett, 58, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Dallas, Texas after a valiant three-year battle with cancer. She was born on October 17, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, the youngest of the five children of Peter and Dorothy Brown and their only true “Texan.” She attended schools in Dallas, Richardson, Plano, and Texas Tech University. She had a long career in nursing until her health began to fail. Her love and tender care for her patients was palatable. Her sweet, uncomplaining nature and gift to find the good in everyone and situation was inspiring and will be sorely missed. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Peter J. and Dorothy M. Brown, a sister, Karen B. Jondahl, and her grandparents, Warren W. and Olive B. Brown and Herbert F. and Edna G. Murphy. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Douglas D. Stennett of Richardson, her daughter, Tracey S. (Andrew) Brandon of McKinney, her grandson, Matthew Flores of Lubbock, TX, her sisters, Diane B. (Jon) Green of Daphne, AL, Beth B. (John) Rosler of Spring, TX, her brother, Mark P. Brown of Lubbock, TX, ten nieces and nephews and twenty great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ellen’s life will be conducted at the Memorial Chapel of Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243 at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 with interment to follow. A Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Monday, April 25, 2022.
