Ms. Evelyn Lance, age 89, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Mesquite, Texas. She was born to Mr. Arthur Jones and Ms. Della Elizabeth Putman on Wednesday, March 30, 1932, in Winnsboro, Texas. Evelyn leaves her loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. She will be sincerely missed by her daughters, Valerie Lance-Watters and Brenda Rozelle; her sons, Dale Wood, and Dennis Ray Wood; her brother Bobby Jones and sister-in-law, Ann Jones; her grandaughters, Bianca Magen Watters, Sharee Bridges, Wendy Johnson, Christie Henager, Sharon Banuillo, and Malinda Lawhead; her grandsons, Bobby Wood, Charles D. Rozelle, Dennis Wood, Jr., and Frank Wood. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Margie Tucker, and her grandson, Dale Wood, Jr. Evelyn had a passion for nature. She was dedicated to feeding her wild birds and hummingbirds as if they were her children. She loved listening to Marty Robbins and opera. Her iPod was golden to her. She was employed by the City of Dallas for 20 years. She was a very loving and caring woman. She will be missed by many. A Service for Evelyn will be held in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Memorial Park on Saturday, April 9, at 2pm. Her Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Friday, April 8, from 6-8pm.
