When I first met Fritz, I had no way of knowing that life would set us down a path of friendship that for both my husband and I, would last for so many years. We both shared a great love for our family and over the years we shared many stories as well as the milestones our children achieved. When I lost both my mom and my husband within six months of each other, it gave me great solace to have Fritz be there with his support and positive attitude. One year, Fritz did a project with his girls, where they made what he called Gratitude Rocks. Each rock has a one word message of inspiration glued to a clear small rock that would be carried in the pocket of the receiver. I don?t remember what message was on mine because after so many months of carrying the rock in my pocket the message came off but I still have the rock and the energy given from this gift still remains with me. The last time we saw each other, he gave me a small wood disk that contains a simple message of appreciation printed on it. It was the simplicity of these two gifts that I will always remember his kind heart, his laughter and the serenity he brought to my life. Fritz will be missed but I hope our roads cross again so we can again share our stories.
