Gardner Earl Michel

Gardner Earl Michel, 92, of Garland, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2022. Gardner was born June 3, 1929 in Rogers, Arkansas and grew up in southeastern Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy on the aircraft carrier Boxer for four years. In 1955, he married Estelle Dickey. They moved to New Mexico where Gardner attended New Mexico State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic systems engineering in 1963. He retired from F & M Systems in 1991. Gardner loved the Lord Jesus and was a student of God’s Word. He enjoyed music and playing the piano. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, a nephew as a son, Timothy Hudson and wife Dana, grandchildren Greg, John and wife Victoria, Amanda, Madeline and great granddaughter Ava, sisters Betty Beard and Wiebua Hardeman and several nieces and nephews and Alice Williams, Gardner’s caregiver. He was preceded in death by his parents; Verlie Michel and Susie Lorene Gardner Michel and a brother, Verlie Michel, Jr. Gardner and Estelle have attended Believers Chapel since 1963.
