Mr. James Gillard, age 75, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, in Carrollton, Texas. He was born to Mr. Merle Gillard and Ms. Inez Downs on Wednesday, May 1, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas. He married his wife, Linda, on August, 26, 1967 in Huntsville, Texas. James was an AG teacher by trade and loved working with students. You could always find him working and gardening in the yard, cooking, and spending time with family. James leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving wife, Linda Evans Gillard; His children, Kim Freeman, Kathy Bull and her husband, Russell, and Paul Gillard; His grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson and wife, Chelsea, Andrew Freeman and Molly Freeman; His two great-grandchildren, Eisley and Johnny Thompson; his brothers, Willard Gillard and wife, Jeannie, Archie Gillard and wife, Sherry, Larry Gillard and wife, Deanna; his sister, Denise Parish and husband, Boyd; Many beloved nieces and nephews, and cherished sister-in-law, Carolyn Evans. James is preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Inez Gillard; His paternal grandparents, Gus and Bertha Gillard; His maternal grandparents, Irma and Louis Downs. Services for James will be held in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6, at 2pm. A public visitation will be held on April 6 from 11am to 1pm at Restland Funeral Home.
