Kathy Bower Campbell died peacefully at her home on January 18, 2022. She was born on May 5, 1944 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She resided in McKinney, Texas. Kathy was married to the love of her life, Dan Campbell for 11 years. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Andrea. Also known as "Nanna" she was blessed with 2 grandchildren, Austin and Ashley. Kathy was one of seven children raised by David and Gladys Bower. She moved throughout the U.S. and abroad with her family to many Air Force Bases while her father was on active duty in the Air Force. Kathy was an avid reader. She had a love for travel, gardening, gourmet cooking and spending time with family. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with B.S.in Biology and Chemistry along with a MBA in Business from the University of Dallas. She was formerly employed with Thermo Scientific, Buchi Corporation, Foss North America and Organon Teknika where she was in sales and customer service for instrumentation for testing food, wine and milk products and testing equipment to hospital laboratories. She was an active member with the Newcomer Friends of Greater Plano and had the honor of being President of the organization for 1 year. She leaves behind her loving husband, Dan; her daughter, Andrea (Jon) Hibbs; her grandchildren, Austin Hibbs and Ashley (Daniel) Morrison; her sisters, Bonita Pope, Linda Bower, Suzie Matteis and Rita (Stephen) Thomson; and her brothers, George (Charlotte) Bower and David (Katherine) Bower. Her presence on this earth with us will be deeply missed! SERVICE WILL BE PRIVATE. She will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas in the Garden of Memories in the Bower family area. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Kathy Campbell to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
