Larry Don Mead, age77 of Garland Texas, was born January 21, 1945, to Mr. Arlin Denton Mead and Mrs. Fairy Mae Clinton. He passed away March 19th, 2022. He loved watching football, fishing and working in his vegetable garden. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1004 in N. Little Rock AR. Through his membership he served as the Exalted Ruler, PER Trustee and received The Elk of the year award. Larry leaves his loved ones behind with unforgettable memories. He will be missed by his loving family, and all the wonderful people who knew and loved him. Larry is survived by his children: Clinton Gene Mead, wife Cheryl Renae Mead of Rockwall, Terri Renee Stephens, husband Donald Rick Stephens of Rowlett, Vincent Lee Mead, wife Lisa Ann Mead of Alvarado TX and Kristen Ashley Collins, husband John Paul Collins of Dewitt, AR. He is survived by his brother Arlin Daulton Mead of Mesquite Tx. He is survived by his grandchildren: Jacklynn Dana Huntoon, Terrah Dawn Saunders, Kimberly Renae Mead, Krystal LeAnne Mead, Amber Nichole Cook, James Dakota Posey-Mead, Morgan Kristine Stephens, Parker Reed Stephens, BreAnna Lee Mead, Lorelei Grace Collins and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his spouse Beverly Jean Mead, brother Ben Harroll Mead, sister Judith Ann Boychuk, parents Arlin Denton Mead and Fairy Mae Clinton, daughter Sammye LaDel Mead, and grandson Jonathan Drew Portinga There will be a Celebration of Life at Restland Cemetery Home on Friday, April 15th, at 11:00 am at the Garden Devotion Gravesite. 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
