Numaleah Opal Green

Numaleah Opal Green, 95, formerly of Plano, passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2022. Born in Wieland, Texas in 1926, she was the youngest daughter of Capers and Florence Beaman. She grew up in a loving and hard-working family with her two dear sisters, Mozelle Roach and Flaleah Rhodes. In 1950, she married Glen Green, and they had one daughter, Sherry, in 1952. The family of 3 was very close and did everything together. “Numa” loved to garden, be outdoors, go shopping, listen to Big Band music, and travel the world! She was a faithful member of Prestoncrest Church of Christ for many years and had many dear friends there. Numa was preceded in death by her sisters, Mozelle and Flaleah; husband, Glen; and daughter, Sherry. She is survived by 2 grandchildren, Matthew Marsh and wife Cortney, and Abby Brown and husband Ryan, who she lived with the last year of her life along with her 4 great grandchildren Marta, Enoch, Ezra and Shepard Brown, as well as loving nieces, nephews, and friends. from Gone From My Sight by Henry Van Dyke: And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone," there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"
