May 10, 1953 - March 12, 2022
Pamela Kay Gilbreath was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 10, 1953. Pamela went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her husband of 36 years on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Algura Hedgpeth, two siblings, Susan and Gerald Hedgpeth, and her husband Jerry Gilbreath. She is survived by her daughters, Tamara/(Dane) Adkisson and Deanna/(Chris) Madon; grandson, Samuel Weast; brother Robert/(Kathy)Hedgpeth; niece, Regina/(Kevin)Bergman and several great nieces and nephews. Pamela and Jerry were married in Fort Worth, Texas on July 13, 1973by Larry Calvin. They then moved to Houston for a short time while Jerry finished his Engineering degree before coming back to the metroplex to start their family. Tamara came first, then Deanna just two years later to complete their family. Pamela was a caretaker at heart, truly her gift from God. Not only did she care for Jerry and her girls as a homemaker, but she cared for anyone in her family, extended family as well as church family and friends. Pamela would welcome you into her home and treat you like family even if you had just met. That was just her caring and loving nature. Pamela was a woman of faith and a fierce prayer warrior. When Tamara and Deanna were kids, Pamela taught them in Sunday School and volunteered regularly at their school. One memory both girls have is how beautiful Pamela and Jerry sang together at church. Later in life, Pamela loved her Women’s Bible study group at The Hills where she had many friends. She would recount may stories of her grandson Sam, who was her pride and joy, to her Bible study and church friends. We are so very thankful for the legacy of faith, love and care that Pamela lived and passed down to her family. “His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matthew 25:21 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Faith Presbyterian Hospice for the loving care they gave Pamela in her last days. Memorial Service is at 2pm on Saturday, March 19th at The Hills Church 6300 Northeast Loop 820 North Richland Hills, TX 76180.
