Raymond Linden Reese

May 17, 1946 - January 27, 2022

A celebration of life for Raymond Linden Reese,75, will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Avenue Dallas, Texas with the Rev. Dennis D. Schurter officiating. Linden was born May 17, 1946 in Waco, Texas. He passed away January 27, 2022 at Denton Regional Medical Center. Linden was a longtime resident of Denton State Supported Living Center in Denton, Texas where he flourished. He delivered mail throughout the campus until his retirement in 2013. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved attending games and from his teen years collected Cowboy memorabilia and loved motorcycles. Linden had a good sense of humor and could express his wants, needs and thoughts. He also loved animals and being outside where he could be seen whizzing around campus in his electric wheelchair. He had a loving, fighting, indepent spirit. His family always cosidered him a special gift from God. He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond A Reese and Ruby Juanita Rucker Reese, sisters Sally Ellen Hines and Wanda Jean "Jeannie" Wheeler, Grandparents ,Joseph William Rucker and Eula “Mama” Lee Tamplin. He is survived by his sister Johnny Maureen Irwin, wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who adored him. He had so many friends. He loved people. The family can't thank enough all the wonderful care givers who lovingly did everything to make his life through the years a happy one. They shaped him into the man he became. a strong, independent person. During the last years of his life they did all they could to ease his pain with such tenderness. They were his family as much as we were and we bless and love each and everyone. He is in Gods hands . He can run.
