My mother and father, Sue and Bailey Gordon, were one of Crowe and D’Maris’ best friends. I grew up with them and their daughters, Deborah, Claudia, and Becky and even got to meet their grandchildren.
With D’Maris’ passing, many fond, fond memories come back. D’Maris even gave me a wedding shower in their wonderful, eclectic home. She always had something entertaining to say. And the parties, well they were the best.
I’ll miss you D’Mo(my moms name for you). Say hi to Mom and Dad for me.

D’Maris was one of my mothers best friends. I will remember her as always making me laugh and most of all, her wonderful art, which I have many of her works in my house today. My dad and “Crowe” as we called him were best of friends the majority of their lives. I will miss her terribly and will always have fond memories of her. I miss seeing both of them at our house when I was growing up. “Crowe” even let me go into the control tower at Love Field when he was is charge there. To her daughters, your Mom was the best. I know that they call death part of the circle of life, however, I don’t have to like it.
My warmest thoughts and prayers to her wonderful daughters.
