Mr. Glenn Osolo Thacker's Obituary
Thacker, Glenn ‘Thumpy’ , 98 years old, peacefully died early Thursday morning at Signature Point rest home after a short stay. Born in Knoxville, Tenn. in 1909, he moved to Dallas, Texas at an early age and has been a resident for the past 92 years where he worked and retired from Stewart Office Supply Company as a highly recognized sales representative. A graduate of Forrest High School and a lifetime member of Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, he was also a 50 year Grand Commander of the Knights Templar, Hella Shriners of Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife ‘Dixie’ Thacker in March of 1989. Mr. Thacker is survived by his son, Blaine Thacker of Dallas and his daughter- in-law, Jane Thacker, grand daughters Stacy and Kara Thacker; and two great grand sons, Jake and Grant Thacker, all of California; his sister-in-law, Beatrice Morton and nephew/niece Ron and Gaye Morton of Dallas. He treasured his many friends and family and always greeted them with a broad smile and hearty hug.
