Ms. Mary Caroline Mosher's Obituary
MMary Caroline Mosher, 88, of Richardson, Tx, passed away on July 15th, 2022 after a lengthy battle with COPD.
Caroline was born on January 21st, 1934 to Roger and Dorothy Williams in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After graduating from high school in 1950, she went on to study Nursing at University of Texas, Galveston.
After graduation, she landed her first job as a Nurse in a pediatric unit, kicking off a long and diverse career in healthcare.
In 1955 Caroline met Ben Mosher, and they wed in 1956, going on to have one child, Raquel Mosher (Barnes).
Caroline’s life was an adventurous one, seeing her living on 4 different continents and traveling to countless places purely for the joy of travel and exploring new cultures. While living in Libya and Indonesia she was utilized and cherished by her community as the unofficial neighborhood nurse and vet. Caroline always had at least one or two pets by her side and was an accomplished dog trainer. One of her greatest loves was music and her friends and family joyfully remember her talent with the piano, the bells, and her enthusiastic, if sometimes off-key, singing voice. Caroline was known as a volunteer, a caretaker, loyal, and fiercely independent.
After retiring in 1999, Caroline spent her time volunteering at her church, singing in the choir, trotting the globe and, for two weeks every year, volunteering as a nurse in Guatemala for an organization called Helps International.
Caroline was predeceased by her parents; Roger Williams and Dorothy Williams, née Leau; her stepmother Petra Maria Cadavedo Williams; her husband Ben Mosher; her grandson, Kyle Barnes and her son-in-law, Steve Barnes. She is survived by her sister, Miriam Yrazabal; her daughter Raquel Barnes; and her grandchildren, Kristen and Scott Barnes.
