Vu was a wonderful friend to me. A very thoughtful, generous and reliable guy. I miss him dearly.
Dear Family: I knew Vu well when he was at the Cox School-SMU, 2014-2016. Just a wonderful person to know, friendly, and funny. Easy to be with. For years, I've helped manage the Cox Rugby Club. So, after Vu's class started, the next thing I knew, he's out there practicing with the other players in the Club. Our centerpiece tournament each year is at Duke University. Vu went with our whole team to the tournament, 2 years in row, while he was earning his MBA. Great memories of all of us being together with each other and meeting and getting to know the students from the other MBA programs who were there.
Vu we love you and miss you. Rest in Peace forever. With great respect and sympathy, Kevin Knox, SMU Cox alumni office.
I was fortunate to work with Vu on a recent project. He was always a joy to work with and went out of his way to help and guide. I will miss him as a colleague and friend. Thinking of and praying for his family and loved ones during this difficult time.
Vu was a dear friend of mine on a project in 2018 and 2019... the very first person to welcome me to a rather large team. He was so kind, thoughtful, smart and funny. I will truly miss him.
Vu and I were inseparable during most of college, keeping each other sane by mostly acting crazy. I remember bowling in the Union, going to games, pretending that the library made us smarter if we studied there, but mostly I remember just hanging out in each other's dorms, apartments, and for a brief time as roommates. Thank you for having the memorial online and for letting us say goodbye even if we can't in person right now.

I was fortunate to have known Vu, having worked with him daily in 2018 and 2019. Vu was respected and well-liked by everyone with whom he worked. I admired his ability to teach and coach others. He was especially skilled in helping others find a path through their challenges or frustrations, and not letting them give up. Vu's legacy can be found in those he taught and coached. I am grateful to have known Vu, and on behalf of his work family, I share my deepest sympathy and condolences with his family and friends. We miss him dearly.
Vu was one of those genuinely nice people who always had a positive attitude and was always willing to help out his team. He never seemed to get frustrated or angry and always had a calming presence about him. He will be missed by many in his work family!
Vu was an amazing person. Our office lit up when he was there. He was a kind and genuine person who balanced the fun and witty with sincerity and care. I will miss him dearly as will many of his work family. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
I had the opportunity to work closely with Vu for several months on a recent project. Vu was very kind, funny, smart, and always went out of his way to help - a true team player. He always gave the best advice and brought positivity to every situation we’d encounter. My condolences to all his family and friends during this hard time.
