I really miss my Daddio. As does everyone else. Thank you for your memories and kindness.
We met Gene and Shirley while we were all working at Brownwood Memorial Hospital in ’70s. Although at times miles may have separated us and we remained close forever!
See you over the “Bridge, Brother,” with the “Hand Shake!”
Geno was the most respected man I’ve known. I am extremely blessed that he was a part of my life. The special memories I’ll hold forever are the many words of advice he kindly gave me based upon his great wisdom. I’ve always treasured memories with and about Geno, and will forever continue to do so. Words cannot express my LOVE.
What a wonderful testimony to a life well lived. So many memories from jobs and family. You and your family are in our prayers but hope Gene’s legacy will live on with all of you!
One evening after an event, Gene, Shirley, Perry and I went to The Lowe’s Anatole piano bar for a night cap. Shirley and I were chatting away and noticed Gene and Perry were yawning so much, almost to the point of nodding off. Thus the two were hence labelled “The Yawn Boys” and forever known in that vain!!! I know everyone will miss Gene and his loving spirit.
Gene was a “trip” as they say…and I had the fun of being on a trip with him and Shirley about 20 years ago. We still laugh about the things we did. He was always a fun person. Love to Shirley and all the kids and grands and great grands.
