I was sad to hear of John's passing. He was a creative and talented man and I had great respect for him. His passing gives us one less in the graphic arts field where the word ART still means something.

I admired, respected and learned from John from the earliest of my days of recollection. He was always generous with his knowledge and caring. His professionalism was exemplary.
John was an icon in this industry- never afraid to share his knowledge or opinion. We are praying for his family. Gwen and Jerry Sharb
I learned a lot from John Brodnax. He was truly the guru of four color printing in Dallas. He accepted nothing less than perfection. I remember the days when he had a two color press and was competing successfully against the big boys with the four color presses. His mantra was "dry trapping" and he sold it. When competition finally drove him to a four color press he once again found ways to deliver a superior product. He was the first to run the black_blue_red_yellow rotation. He was first with the full scale black. (undercolor removal). John had a very dry sense of humor. I always had my calls screened. John would not tell anyone who was calling. This created a problem. He solved it by always identifying himself as my probation officer. I will miss him. Jack Harper
