I served in the 75th MAC with Mel. I also workded at Texas Instruments, as did Mel. I was here in Stafford, Tx. I had/have great pride in serving in the 75th and working at TI. That pride in no small measure comes from the likes of Mel, who helped make these two great organizations what they are. May his soul rest in peace. God Bless him. Col (Ret) Dave Kiger

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of COL Brewer. I had the pleasure of serving with him in the Artillery Group of the 75th MAC. Although I mostly saw him at the reserve center, I knew him to be a kind and caring person, as well as a professional soldier. I will keep your family in my prayers.
Katherine We are so sorry about the loss of your husband. He sure was a brave Soldier and a fine man. I was really impressed with his military record. He was a great American. I must have known him in Houston because I flew for a unit which was under the 75th. If there is anything we can do, please let us know. If I can change my post surgery appointment on Wednesday with the Army, I will attend the service. I just had a cancerous tumor removed from the back of my neck. The doctors think that they removed all of it. We are going to make a donation in his name to the Wounded Warrior-Fisher House Association. I think that he would like that. Again–our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Mel was one of the most caring, humble and nice people I have ever known. He will be sorely missed.
