Memorial Day 2025 Event

Join us this Memorial Day as we gather to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. This year’s ceremony will feature a heartfelt program of remembrance, tradition, and tribute. Monday, May 26, 2025 | 10 am | Restland Cemetery Program Highlights: Posting of the Colors by the USAF Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem (vocalist TBD) Weapons Salute by the Richardson Police Department and Taps Invocation by Chaplain Lt. Colonel Nathan Tucker, USAF Welcome from Restland’s Management Team Remarks from Emcee Scott Murray Guest Speaker: Major General Keith Thurgood, U.S. Army (Ret.) Thirteen Folds of the Flag ceremony presented by the USAF Gold Star Families Recognition and Wreath Presentation We invite families to arrive early and stay after the program to reflect and connect. In tribute, classic wartime songs will play before the ceremony and during the Gold Star walk, including selections from WWII, Korea, and Vietnam eras. This is a free community event open to all. We encourage you to bring loved ones and help us honor those who served.
