NEW Mausoleum Floral Removal Plan

Dear Mausoleum Property Owners,

We hope this message finds you well. As stewards of our cherished mausoleum, we are committed to maintaining its integrity and beauty for generations to come. Over time, the placement of floral arrangements as well as personal memorabilia on the floor of the mausoleum along the crypts has proven to become problematic. This creates an insect problem with gnats and other pests being present within the mausoleum. The floral and memorabilia placements on the ground within the mausoleum obscures the vision of many families that come to pay respects to their loved ones that are entombed on first level of the mausoleum. With this in mind, we are implementing a revised placement policy that aligns with our original guidelines.

Effective November 1, 2024, we will be enforcing the following rules regarding floral arrangements within the mausoleum:

1. Fresh and artificial flower placements: Artificial and fresh flowers are allowed on specific occasions throughout the year. Please see the attached Floral Placement Policy for reference to the allowable dates.

2. Decorations: Personal flower stands or other furniture items are not allowed. Standing decorations, such as framed photographs, potted plants, balloons, or toys, are also prohibited. Attaching cards, pictures, or religious items to crypt or niche fronts is not permitted.

3. Funeral Flowers: Funeral flowers that remain in the mausoleum after the services are performed will be removed and disposed of on a weekly basis. Families wishing to keep any arrangements are encouraged to retrieve them from their family crypt/niche space before leaving the mausoleum on the day of the funeral.

We recognize this is a drastic change from what has been allowed for the past several years. Restland will provide and install at no cost a typical mausoleum crypt front vase for any property owner that provides express written permission to do so. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the me at 972-238-7111. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining the sacred space of our mausoleum.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Sincerely,

Mike Day
