Mr. Robert Cox's Obituary
Robert Conser Cox, “Bob”, age 81 of Richardson, Texas, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2017. He was born November 20, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bob grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School. After high school, he attended a trade school for pipeline drafting. He was hired as an oil pipeline draftsman for Sun Oil Company and retired from there after 35 years. He loved going to church, playing golf, visiting with friends, traveling on big adventures, and being with family. He was a member of Silent Friends Chapel at First Baptist Dallas for almost 20 years then moved his membership to Legacy Drive Deaf Fellowship in Plano where he attended for nearly 20 years. In last few years he attended and became a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas. During retirement, he and his wife Barbara became members the North Texas Deaf Senior Citizens group and Couples Club. Bob was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help others and always with a big smile. He was a genuine, generous, kindhearted, compassionate, and committed man. He will be missed by so many. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 55 years; daughter, Lynne Duval and husband Bob Duval of Wylie, Texas; son, Donald R. Cox of Richardson, Texas. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Taylor Duval of Fort Worth, Texas and Rebecca Duval of Wylie, Texas. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017at 2:30 PM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
