He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Blair and Evie Blair; and his siblings, JC Blair, Leona Jones, Pauline Hayes, Vivian Prochaska, Patsy Splawn and Peggy Naud.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ellen Blair; his children, Karen Hallman (Scott), Gary Blair, Russell Blair (Lori) and Lori Lusk (Mike); his brothers, AB Blair, Alton Blair and Steve Blair; his grandchildren, Rachel Denlinger, Jerome, Tyjah, Alisha Hallman, Gary Kent Blair Jr., Alex Blair (Hudson Powell), Briana Heflin (Brodie), Becky Harrison (Brandon), Katie Blair (Haley) and Michael Lusk (Lindsey); and his great grandchildren, Avery Denlinger of Samual, AC, Josiah, Joy, Timothy Heflin, Declan, Gage Harrison, Caspian, Bjorn Stone, Eleanor Blair, Savannah and Mason Lusk. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home - Sachse (2925 5th St, Sachse, TX 75048). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Restland Cemetery (13005 Greenville Ave, Richardson, TX 75081).
