Alice Fletcher Gilmore's Obituary
GILMORE, ALICE FLETCHER, age 97, is now at home with the Lord. She passed away on June 15 at home in Leesburg, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Harland Williams Gilmore. She is survived by two daughters, Beverly Miller of Leesburg, TX and Marjorie Giller of Denton, TX, and one son, Harland Gilmore of Edmond, OK. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Minna Gene Blackwelder of Amarillo, TX. She was born in West Helena, AR, June 25, 1916 where she remained until her marriage in 1936. They relocated to the Dallas area where she was Payroll Manager for Baylor Medical Center for 33 years and an active member of Ross Avenue Baptist Church for over 65 years. After a family graveside service on June 17, a celebration of her life by family and friends will be held at 12:30 PM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
