Marty, I just want you to know that your mother’s death left a giant hole in my heart. She and I attended operas, sorted books and worked the book sales for over 15 years. All of us from Lochwood Library Friends will miss her very much. She was always there when needed, and she did many kind things quietly without fuss. In a way, she was our sweet mom and made sure we never ran out of tea or cookies. We all loved her.
Marty – I am so sad to hear of the loss of your Mom. I never knew when your Dad died. I really loved both Paul and Alison… what interesting people they were. I feel quite fortunate to have known them. What fun friends and competitors they were. They had so many various interests – they were really enjoyable to know.I am a long time DSCC member – and your folk’s car – Spitfire – was completely restored and has won many awards in California because H.C. Connally’s son, Barry did all of the work and has entered it in many concourse events.I thought you were still in California. Just know that many people remember your parents with very kind and loving feelings.
