Allen James Dickey's Obituary
Allen James Dickey, age 57, unexpectedly passed away on June 5, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. Allen was born in Dallas, Texas on May 29, 1965, to Dr. Robert Dickey (deceased) and Alice Pelton Posey. Allen was a graduate of Fort Worth Country Day and entered SMU School of Law, where he met his future wife, Jennifer Lapp, who was also a law student.
Being the gifted ans talented lawyer that he was, he would generously give his time and advice to help someone in need. Allen went above and beyond to advocate for his friends, family and neighbors.
Allen was a family man at heart. He thought he was the luciest guy in the worlds to have Jennifer by his side as his wifefor the past 21 years. He was so proud of his sons, Chris and Drew, because they were incredibly kind, intelligent and compassionate, just like their father.
Allen was truly "one of a kind", and he will always be loved and missed by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer, and sons, Chris and Drew, mother, Alice Pelton Posey, and brother, Stephen Dickey, and sons Vail and Blake. His circle of love includes Jennifer's parents, Cindy and Richard Lapp, and Jennifer's brother, John Lapp, his wife, Kathy, and their children, Brook and Hunter, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Allen's family will have a celbration of his life later this summer at Higland Park United Methodist Church on August 4, 2022 at 3:00 PM
