Alton L. Terry's Obituary
Born June 14, 1919 in Alba, Texas and passed away October 31, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas. Preceded in death by Merle Burns Terry, wife of 66 years; and Donna Horton, daughter. Survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters, Gerald Terry, Gwen Hayes, Sonja Meldrum, Wayne Terry; sister, Ophelia Stevens; 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Alton was a WWII Veteran, serving in the U.S. Army and a purple heart recepient. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will take place at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Evans Community Center, Mesquite, TX (Senior dance program)
