Alvis T. Evans' Obituary
EVANS, ALVIS T, was born on June 20, 1916, and passed away on June 21, 2007. He is preceded in death by his wife, Paula J. Evans; brothers, Homer and Wayne D Evans; and sister, Bonnie Moore. He is survived by his sister Helen Poteet and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Alvis started out as a Home Builder and built his own home in Richardson where he resided. His last place of employment was with VARO where he worked for over 15 years. He was a WWII veteran serving in the South Pacific, Okinawa, Japan, and Brazil. He was also a map maker and photographer. In his later life he worked in farming and ranching in Leonard, Texas. He continued to use his HAM Radio experience from the service to build radios. Family will receive friends Monday, June 25, 2007 from 11:00-1:00 at Restland Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Restland Memorial Park.
