Amy Carroll Minyard's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Amy Carroll Minyard announces her passing on Sunday February 26th, 2023, at the age of 68, after a long battle with cancer.
Amy’s legacy of selflessness, service to others, and charitable actions towards her community, will be fondly remembered and continued in death by her family and countless friends. Amy was a voracious reader, animal lover, and advocate for children’s reading. Even in times of great illness, she could still be found roaming the aisles of local bookstores, picking out the perfect gifts for her friends and family. Although known to be demure, her soft demeanor and kind words made the loudest impact on anyone fortunate enough to meet her.
Often described as the sweetest, kindest woman, she found the greatest fulfillment in caring for others, most notably her family, who she adored and loved in the most self-sacrificing way.
Of all her significant achievements and roles in life, being the greatest “Mimi” was her most notable source of pride. Amy found joy in the smallest moments, even in times of great sickness, in a manner that inspired and moved us all.
Amy is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jordan Minyard, her father Van Carroll, and her mother Joyce Carroll.
She is survived by her sister Melissa Farish, brother-in-law Dave Farish, and niece Caroline. She is fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children and grand-daughters: Son Justin Minyard, his wife Kaylyn, and their daughter Mackenzie; Son Ryan Minyard and his daughter Kinleigh; Daughter Meredith Bogin, her husband Rick Bogin, and their daughter Genevieve. We would be remiss to not include her biggest fan and devoted emotional support sidekick, her Chihuahua Penny.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3rd, 2023 at 2:00 pm, at Ridglea Christian Church, 6720 Elizabeth Lane, Fort Worth, TX, 76116. A reception will be held following the service from 4:00-7:00 pm at Amy’s favorite restaurant, King Tut, 1512 Magnolia Avenue, Fort Worth. The family encourages all who would like to attend to join us to celebrate her life at a place that provided so much joy and nourishment.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Amy to Ridglea Christian Church. Kaylyn Minyard
