Andrew Nagurney Jr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Andrew Nagurney, Jr. on October 22, 2024. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Nagurney. He is survived by his son, Quinn Nagurney; his daughter, Lisa Carlson and her husband, Brent Carlson; his grandchildren, Emree Nagurney, Coen Nagurney, Cora Carlson, and Jasper Carlson; his sister, Diane Bell.
Andy was born in Middletown, Pennsylvania in 1942 and lived most of his childhood years in Midwest City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. In 1965, Andy graduated with a degree in architecture. Following graduation, Andy served from 1966 through1970 as a Captain in the United States Air Force and was stationed primarily at Grand Forks and Shemya Air Force Bases. Upon the completion of his service, Andy began his practice of architecture, founding his firm, ANPH, in 1970. Andy took immense pride in his work and enjoyed his chosen profession until the date of his passing.
Andy will be remembered by family and friends for his creative talent, quick wit, and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation is scheduled for 1:00pm on October 27th, 2024, at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas, TX. A service will immediately follow at 2:00pm.
