Angelica Marie Santoyo's Obituary
Angelica Marie Santoyo, passed away on July 25th in Dallas, TX. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew and loved her. She was born on December 28, 1970 in Chicago, Il to Emil and Elva Santoyo.
Angelica was 54 years young, and anyone who knew her knew that age was just a number to her. She lived life on her own terms—fearlessly, colorfully, and with a radiant energy that drew people in. Angelica had a personality that didn’t just walk into a room— laughing, talking, and filling every space with her unmistakable laugh.
She was a girly girl through and through—pink wasn’t just her favorite color, it was her signature. Whether it was her clothes, her nails, pink followed her wherever she went, like a trail of joy. She loved fashion, and had a style all her own. Music was the soundtrack of her life. Whether she was blasting a favorite song in the car, —music brought her joy, and she made sure to share that joy with everyone around her.
Angelica also had a fondness for reality TV. She loved the drama, the over-the-top personalities—and maybe it’s because she saw a little bit of herself in all that. Because if there’s one thing Angelica was never afraid to be, it was herself. Loud, proud, bold, and totally unfiltered.
Her laugh—oh, that laugh—was something you never forgot once you heard it. It wasn’t just loud; it was alive. It was the kind of laugh that made you laugh, even if you didn’t know what was funny. It was pure Angelica: full of life, full of love, and impossible to ignore.
She was a free spirit who believed in living fully and loving fiercely. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and though she may have worn glitter and heels, she had a strength and fire in her that could light up the darkest day.
Angelica was the kind of person who left a mark—on our hearts, our memories, and our lives. And though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit, her laughter, her pink sparkle—they remain. She taught us to embrace who we are, to laugh loud, love hard, and never shy away from being bold.
So today, even as we grieve, we also celebrate. We celebrate the loving mother, sister, daughter, friend, and woman that Angelica was. And we carry her with us—not just in our hearts, but in the music we hear, the clothes we wear, the reality shows we laugh at, and every time we dare to be exactly who we are.
Rest easy, Angelica. Your spirit was—and always will be—larger than life.
