While at Bethany, she took the church bus into underprivileged neighborhoods to share the gospel with children unable to attend church. She was a loving and devoted “Nana” to Hollie and Lori. She loved spending time with them, as well as cooking and sewing for them. She was sure to share her love of gardening with them also. Her favorite flower was hydrangeas, which she grew and shared with many. In her garden were larkspur, poppies, and roses. She shared her love of African violets, by growing them and giving them to shut ins on her visits. She was a gentle spirit full of graciousness and kindness. Anita was a devout Christian, always quick to share her faith. Even on her deathbed, she was able to witness. When asked what she thought about waking up in heaven, her response was, “that will be exciting.” She was a woman ready to meet her Savior, and stated that when she met Jesus face to face, she would be “too excited to do anything.” She is loved by many and will be missed by those who knew her.
