Anna Ruth Brown's Obituary
Anna Ruth Lawson Brown, 92 years and 363 days old, was born in Lorenzo, Texas, June 23, 1924. She passed away peacefully on June 21, 2017. She graduated from Amarillo High School and married Thomas Guy Brown on July 19, 1945. She was a devoted, loving wife to Guy and a devoted, loving mother of 3 daughters. She worked in the financial industry before having children. Anna Ruth and Guy moved to Dallas in 1956 where they were members of White Rock United Methodist Church. She and Guy were active in the church and instrumental in forming the Mr. and Mrs. Sunday School class. She was active in several community services. She and Guy moved to Emerald Bay Golf Community in Bullard, Texas to enjoy their retirement. While at Emerald Bay she was active with the golf and country club and the Emerald Bay Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Floy Lawson, her brother, John Dodd Lawson and her husband of 59 years, T. Guy Brown. She is survived by her three daughters, Susanne Brown Birdwell, son-in-law, Robert Birdwell; Debbie Brown Williamson; Janet Brown Bottles, son-in-law Bobby Bottles, 5 grandchildren, Lesley Birdwell Weinke; Laura Leigh Birdwell; Cathrine Birdwell Edwards; Derrick Williamson; Mary Caitlin Bottles Salas and Thomas Bottles; and her precious 3 Great-Grandsons.
