In Gainesville, close to where Anna & I lived, there is a restaurant named "Catfish Louie's". The first time we went Anna ordered chicken, green beans, steak, okra, peach cobbler and a cherry coke! I had never seen Anna eat so much food! By the time we moved back to Dallas, we were eating there at least 4 times a week. She loved that place. Harley would've loved that place too. I really miss them both.
One of my favorite memories of Anna was when we came down from Oklahoma late for Christmas, 2019. There was something about her that night. She was the happiest and most beautiful I'd ever get to see her be. This is how I like to remember Anna:
From the day Anna & I met, she always had a bag of arts & crafts with her. She made beautiful things with this hobby of hers. She also used that hobby as a way to honor her son, Nicholas. Here is a wreath she made him for Valentine's Day 2020
Anna loved the musical "Cats". So when the new "Cats" musical came to the big screen, she was so excited and couldn't wait to see it. So I surprised her with tickets on opening night. Anna sang along with every song almost at the top of her lungs! We were the only people in the theater the entire time. Even if the theater was full, she still would have sang every song. And up until the morning Anna & Harley passed, she would sing Mr. Mistoffeles from "Cats" every morning when we were getting ready for work.
