Annabelle Moore Davis' Obituary
On Saturday the 8th of March 2025 Annabelle Moore Davis passed from this life to her heavenly
home. She was born January 16, 1926 to Willis B. and Vera Boyd Moore at Florence Nightingale
Hospital in Dallas. She graduated from Forest High School in June 1943. She was a member of
Centenary Methodist Church from cradle to marriage. She accepted Christ at the age of 8.
Annabelle met the love of her life, Homer M. “Buster” Davis at her 16th birthday party. They
were married in July, 1945. They were married 69 years and were blessed with two children,
Sarah Elaine and James Mark .
They lived in Dallas in Oak Cliff until July, 1996, when they relocated to Rockwall, east of
Dallas.
Annabelle loved music and was an accomplished pianist. She played the piano and organ at
several Baptist churches over the years and for funerals and weddings.
Annabelle and her family all loved playing games. She and Homer belonged to both a “42” and
“Bridge” club for over 30 years. She loved cooking and entertaining, which they did a lot. She
loved chocolate and butterflies.
She worked for Mobil Oil Co. Research Laboratory in Duncanville for 31 years, first as secretary
then as Training Assistant in their Technical Training Dept.
Annabelle and Buster moved to Rockwall in 1996 and were members of the First Baptist Church
of Rockwall. Visitation will be at Restland Funeral Home on Friday the 21st of March, 2025 from
4:00pm-8:00pm with a grave side service at Restland on Saturday 22nd of March, 2025 at 3:00pm.
She is survived by:
