Mr Arthur Clark Williams Sr's Obituary
Arthur Williams Sr. affectionately known as "Pookey" was born to Leon and Pauline Williams on
November 8, 1953 in Dallas, Texas. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Dallas, TX where he attended John C. Frazier Elementary, Pearl C Anderson Middle School and Lincoln High School. After graduating with the class of 1972, Arthur went on to attend Paul Quinn College.
Arthur accepted Christ at an early age and later in life united with Griggs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Before his illness he was an active member of the Men's Usher Board and Sunday School Class #2.
Arthur worked in the logistics field and was a long time employee of GTE. In March 1972, he welcomed his first child Shnequa Childress. In 1974 he met the love of his life, Linda. They latter married in 1977 and to this union one son was born, Arthur Williams Jr., known to most as "Scooter".
Arthur loved spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching sports and listening to
what he considered as "ole school music". Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Pauline Williams and his brother Leon Williams Jr.
Arthur departed this life and entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2022. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife Linda Williams; daughter Shnequa Childress; son Arthur Williams Jr. (Amber). Two sisters Betty Wysner (Thomas) and Debra Turner. Eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family and friends.
