Atticus Haygood Thomas, Jr.'s Obituary
Atticus Haygood Thomas, Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 2, 2019. Atticus was born in Ft. Payne, Alabama on November 12, 1930. After he graduated from Texas A&I in Kingsville, he entered the Air Force where he served in the Korean War. Later he became an auditor for the State of Texas. On a business trip to New York, he met and married Barbara Cella. They returned to San Antonio, Texas; where they had two daughters. They then moved to Dallas where he was an auditor with the Atlantic Richfield. He then became a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Masters Degree at SMU. He enjoyed doing taxes, working with computers, making his family laugh,reading and playing with his grand children. Atticus is survived by his wife,Barbara Thomas, daughters, Courtney Loy and Husband Alan Loy, Hilary Liston and husband, Bob Liston and grandchildren Ryan and Katie Liston.No services have been scheduled.Funeral arrangements for Mr. John Ray Keller have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and be reached at (972) 238-7111 .
