Audrey Faye Upton's Obituary
Audrey Faye Westerman was born to Guy and Flara Westerman on December 12, 1925 and went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2016. She married CB Upton on August 16, 1942 at the Rising Star Baptist Church. Audrey was a Rosie Riveter during World War II for a short time and later worked for Sears and became secretary at Open Door Baptist Church. She then went on to be the secretary for Bruton Road Baptist Church. After Chuck started school she got a job with DISD working at John B. Hood Middle School as the attendance clerk and as the librarian for J.L Long Middle School. Audrey is preceded in death by her husband CB Upton married for over 73 years. She is survived by her son Chuck Upton and his wife Rhonda; Grandchildren Holly Woodlee and husband Beau; Misti Svobada and husband Matt; Cole Upton and wife Ariel. Great grandchildren, Luke Woodlee, Eli Woodlee, Drew Woodlee, Jude Woodlee,Harper Svoboda and Sadie Svoboda. Audrey and CB were long time members of Bethany Baptist Church where he was a deacon and she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and this was her favorite thing to do. They both loved the lord and were instrumental in leading many others to Christ. Audrey was lost without CB and she was ready to be reunited with him in heaven. Now together again where they can now worship at the feet of Jesus… “ John3:16” For God so loved the world , that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Until we meet again for eternity. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 21, 2016 from 2:00PM – 3:00PM at Restland Funeral Home followed by service at Service at 3:30 at Whispering Waters Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
