in honor of Awilda.
Sweet Awilda was my mother-in-law for the past 43 plus years. She was a very generous, kind, smart and independent woman who was widowed at the age of 51, after 34 years of marriage. Awilda was a familiar face and office manager at the office of Dr. Marvin Gerard, OBGYN, first in Richardson and later in Dallas, who delivered our three kids in the 80's. Awilda was selfless and eager to help people out. She was so good to Mark and me over all these years, helping with our kids if we needed her. Awilda turned 90 on Feb. 23 and passed away on March 2, one week after her birthday. We're so glad she has no more pain and is in heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. "Grandma" was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
