Betty Alcorn was born September 4 in Unadilla, GA and passed away December 4 in Garland, TX. She is survived by her husband James Alcorn, children: Brenda Alcorn Shamburg, Renda Alcorn Reed, James Alcorn Jr, Barbara Alcorn Brunson, Ronald Alcorn, grandchildren: Joshua Forsyth, Donnie Brunson, Jeffrey Reed, Kara Shamburg, Dana Fortenot, Kristi Shamburg, Christopher Alcorn, Bryan Alcorn, Zona Alcorn, Zack Alcorn, great grandchildren: Alyssa Forsyth, Tyler Shamburg, Taylor Forsyth, Parker Brunson. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 12:30pm Friday, December 9, 2011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to America Diabetes Association.
