I met Barbara when I started working at the Addison Athletic Club in 2001. She was funny and one of the smartest people I knew. She was eloquent in her speech and we spoke for days about Addison history. My.. the things she remembered. Barbara always remembered your name, even if she only met you once. She really listened to what you had to say and could recall the details. Her first pup, Pica, was such a comfort to her as well as her newer addition Nelly Bly. Any pet of Barbara's was indeed a lucky pet. Barbara collected bears. That's not the half of it. Her whole house was filled with bears. If there was a "bare" spot, it was quickly filled with a bear. Barbara loved to entertain. She invited people over for snacks and to watch sporting events. She was passionate about that. Since I've moved out of the area, I haven't kept in touch with her; something I regret. I'm sure she understood. Thank you for being my friend, Barbara. The world will not be the same without you, but heaven has received the sweetest angel ever.
