Barbara Ruth Troth Davenport's Obituary
Born February 25, 1927 in Dallas, Texas and passed away January 17, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by Richard Walter Davenport (spouse, 1973), Richard Michael Thomas (grandson, 1994), Elizabeth Rodgers and Rosemary Mullane (sisters), Robert Troth (brother, and Gordon Davenport (brother-in-law). She is survived by Susan Thomas (Mike), Rosemary Nichols (David), daughters, Ginny Taylor (James), Will Thomas, Ryan Nichols, Bo Nichols (grandchildren), Rhodes, Lily and Eli Taylor (great grandchildren) many nieces and nephews. She attended grade School at Stephen J. Hay and graduated from North Dallas High School. She attended TSCW (now TWU) in Denton, TX and Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri. In 1948 she married Richard Walter Davenport, III. She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church. Barbara was a free spirit. She had many friends who represented a cross section of humanity. She loved and embraced everyone and made them feel comfortable in their own skin. She was a loving daughter, sibling, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
