Bayard Hill Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, BAYARD HILL Born February 8, 1918 in Walnut Springs, TX and passed away December 18, 2007 in Waco, TX. Bayard Hill Johnson died nearing his 90th birthday in the care of Providence Hospice, Waco, TX. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Gerry. Mr. Johnson is survived by his son Warren Hill Johnson of Carrollton, TX and his wife, Susan; granddaughter, Rebecca Jane Bartlett and her husband Bryce Bartlett and great-grandson, Thatcher Hill Barlett of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his wife of 11 years, Earlene; her son, Father Ronald Baker of Walnut Springs and her daughter, Brenda and husband Emmett Mosier of Waco, TX; grandson, Matt Mosier and wife, Erin of College Station. After attending Baylor University, he served in the U.S. Army. During WWII in the Signal Corps, his tour of duty included North Africa and the allied invasion of Italy. He spent his entire professional career working for Western Electric Company. He was a member of the Pioneers Retired Communication Workers of America. His hobbies included electronics and travel. He was an avid Texas history buff and enjoyed Texas folklore. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas, TX. Services will be 3:30 PM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
