Ben F. Ingram Jr.'s Obituary
Born December 19, 1928 to Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Ingram, Sr. in Henrietta, TX. He graduated from Henrietta High School in 1946. He enlisted in the Marines for one year. He attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls for two years. He decided he would go into the Air Force and train to be a pilot. His training was at Perrin AFB and Gunnery, Williams AFB, and Luke AFB in Arizona. While at Williams he met his wife Margo M. Pugh and married February 20, 1952. They had three children, Deborah Palmer of Celina, TX, Gregory Ingram of Joplin, MS, and Clark Ingram of Manhattan, KS; five grandchildren, Brian Palmer, Rachel Palmer Collier, David Ingram, Alicia Ingram Jallah and Michael Ingram. Ben attended the University of Texas in Austin and received his Masters at UCLA. His tours of duty included three 1 year tours in Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. He spent 4 years in Japan, 4 years in England plus several bases in the U.S. During his service he was awarded the Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, Silver Star, Air Force Commendation Medal, and several others. Ben retired from the Air Force in 1977 as a Colonel. Visitation is 6-8pm, Thursday, August 11, 2011. Service at 10am, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
