Bernadette Stromile Kelley's Obituary
She was known for her infectious smile, kind heart, sweet disposition, loving spirit, and beautiful soul. The love she gave and received was more than words can explain. Bernadette was an avid reader, a truly selfless woman and a second mom to many. To know her and love her was a gift to all. Family came first in her life. Shopping was one of her favorite things to do, as well as making time for her friends. She was a true giver, an amazing mother, incredible wife, loving sister, dependable aunt, admirable friend, worlds greatest daughter and a phenomenal woman.
Bernadette Stromile Kelley was born in Shreveport, Louisiana to Lawrence Stromile (deceased) and Shirley Stromile. Her walk with Christ began at St. Luke Baptist Church in Dallas, TX where she was baptized and participated in various auxiliaries. As an adult, she joined One Community Church in Plano, TX where she served faithfully in the bookstore. She attended K.B. Polk Elementary (Gifted and Talented Program), Spence Middle School, and Skyline High School where she met the love of her life and high school sweetheart. She went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1988; that same year she was married in union to Michael Kelley. Together they had 3 beautiful children.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her three beautiful children, Austin (deceased), Michael (30), Morgan (25), and her husband, Michael Kelley of 33 years. Her mother, Shirley Stromile, father Lawrence Stromile (deceased), bonus dad, Jodie Smith (deceased), brother, Fred Stromile, brother-in-law, Dwight (Pam), sister- in-law, Juanita, mother-in-law, Suvelia Wright (deceased) and father-in-law, Robert Wright. And a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
